Amazon delivering developer's kit for more interactive Kindle apps

Amazon has officially announced the "Kindle Development Kit", allowing for developers to create interactive applications for the Kindle platform.

Beginning next month, a limited number of developers will get access to the beta release of the developer kit, and apparently some already have it, including:
  • Handmark, who is working on a Zagat's restaurant guide.
  • Sonic Boom, who is building word games and word puzzles (let me guess - Sudoku!)
In a refreshing move, the development kit will be available for Windows, Macintosh and Linux developers.
