Game Change (

, has been widely talked about as one of the prime eBooks to be delayed by their publisher. Could this really be blowing up in Harper Collins' face? First reviewers started
pummeling their Amazon rating. Next came major media outlets
widely reporting on the uproar. Now The Desert Sun is reporting that the
book is hard to find in print, and widely out of stock.
While the major online booksellers claim to have it in stock, I can confirm that 6 of the closest 10 Borders to my zip code confirm it as out of stock and only 2 of the closest 10 Barnes and Nobles similarly claim to have it.
It's one thing to hold back a book's digital version to try to squeeze a few extra bucks out of consumers... it's just absurd to do so, have a #1 hit (and they knew it would be) and run out of copies!
Harry Potter (

) may not be allowed digitally, but at least when I was at the local Barnes and Noble the afternoon after their 12:00am release event for the last book in the series, the fact that I hadn't pre-ordered didn't seem to matter as the walls were lined with hundreds upon hundreds of copies for sale.
