iRex DR800SG's arrival imminent? European version shipping within a week?

The iRex DR800SG's launch here in the States has been delayed (originally slated to arrive late last year), but perhaps it's arrival is imminent? It would appear that the European version, the DR800S goes on sale January 18th. iRex's own online store shows it at £449, which is quite a bit more than the $399 we had heard for the (vaporware) DR800SG product.

Using a Vizplex e-Ink screen clocking in at 8 inches, it comes bundled with a touchscreen and stylus, ePub and DRM support, a custom cover, and WiFi unlike the US version's purported 3G modem. A comparison chart produced by iRex is below, although it mentions the DR800SG rather than the DR800S, so understand that the 3G access is not included. They do appear to sell it online in US dollars, but at $800 + it's a hefty proposition. Also note that they show the Sony products as "closed DRM", I assume that Sony's recent embrace of Adobe Digital Editions and conversion of all books to ePub would now peg this as "Open DRM".
