According to a press release, software will be released by February, supporting "Windows 7, Android and 'additional operating systems'.
The apps will support synching, so you'll be able to switch from the iPhone app to the Windows 7 app without losing your place. This support obviously wouldn't extend to ePubs loaded onto dedicated eReaders from other companies.
