Wall Street Journal technology columnist Walt Mossberg clocks in with his review of the Sony Reader Daily Edition. He finds a lot to like, including the gesture based page turning capability, the larger screen, their presentation of newspaper content, inclusion of a cover, stronger battery life (with wireless off) and memory expansion capabilities.
On the con side he notes the higher price ($399), current constrained availability of the device, learning curve with the touch screen gestures, lack of a complimentary smart phone application and failure to synchronize your last read page from computer-to-Reader (and back).
Walt notices the differences in content - with about half as many books offered in store versus Kindle. He also mentions the free Google books accessibility, and mentions you can check out books from the Library.
Lastly, mentioned almost in passing, is the screen being slightly less legible (no doubt due to the touch screen capability that's bolted on top of the e-Ink screen).
