Turns out Asus wasn't content to have coverage over the last two days. Now word is popping up that they have a third reader in the wings, the DR-750. An e-Ink unit, with 16 shades of grey, it will sport a 1024x768 resolution, text-to-speech, headphone jack (3.5mm), web browser, dictionary, handwriting recognition and either 3G or 802.11g connectivity. Storage via a standard SD card (presumably SDHC support as well), and 4gb of internal flash.
Still no pricing information. The units will support ePub and PDF, but not definitive word on Adobe Digital Editions support. This unit will get approximately 4 days out of a 3.5 hour charge.
In related news, apparently the DR-570 (OLED color unit) is delayed while they tweak the software and battery life.
