New York Times Fiction Hardcover Best Sellers for Jan. 24, 2010 - eBook Prices
Each week I compare the eBook prices of the New York Times Fiction Hardcover Best Seller list at Amazon's Kindle Store, Barnes and Nobles' eBook Store, Sony's Reader Store and KoboBooks to help determine how competitive each major eBook store is.
Last week, Barnes and Noble was easily the most economical of the four stores for Fiction. This trend continues this week as they continue to offer "Altar of Eden" for free, continue to undercut most retailers on "The Honor of Spies" and even lower their overall price by heavily discounting "The Girl Who Played With Fire". Once again, Sony costs more than $30 more if you were to acquire all 15 books.
