The Open Book closing after 40 years

Another casualty of the combination of big box chains, Internet sites and eReaders, local book store The Open Book, in Greenville, SC is closing after over 40 years in business. In its' heyday they hosted some fairly big name book signings, including Pat Conroy, John Grisham and Nicholas Sparks.

Approximately 15 people will be losing their job as a result.
