Australia lagging on digitization of books?

Australia's REDgroup is making a big push for eBooks in 2010, with hopes of making up to one million titles available by the end of the year, according to Australia's "The Age". REDgroup has partnered with Kobo as part of the push for digitization.

David Fenlon, retail managing director of REDgroup which owns Australian retailer Angus & Robertson, New Zealand's Whitcoulls as well as Borders' Australian locations says up to 15% of the Austrlian market could be digital by 2012. REDgroup plan to make up to 1 million titles available in Australia.
