David Pogue still gunning for the nook...

David Pogue is back with another negative article on the nook, although this time he seems to be upset with good reason.

Apparently the nook weighs 0.9 ounces more than the advertised claim (a 7% difference). It doesn't make the nook obese, but it certainly puts a beer belly on the unit.

Barnes and Noble had an official explanation (something, something manufacturing variance, something...) but Pogue correctly points out that they weren't going to correct their advertising until called on it.

The question remains how widespread an issue is this - do minor component changes and changes to the manufacturing process leave a variance in many electronic devices?

It'd have been even more scandalous if this guy was right.
