Just how popular is the Library Overdrive system for checking out digital content from public libraries? According to Paul Biba of TeleRead, very popular!
Apparently they served 401 million page views (some 401 million more than me), and saw 8.7 million books checked out, both increases of 60-70% over 2008.
They also showed a 40% increase in library users from the prior year.
What were their most popular books? Check out the list at their site, it reads like an amalgamation of the bestseller lists from the prior year.
