Buy a lot of books? You might be getting a free Kindle!

TechCrunch reports that some Amazon customers who buy fairly respectable amounts of books through the website but do not currently own a Kindle are getting an offer too good to pass up:

That's pretty astonishing... one would hope the average person is either honest if they truly like the device (can't say I would be that honest), or buys a lot of non-bestsellers and new releases, since Amazon loses money on many of those titles. It's hard enough to recoup $259 (or $489 for a DX) let alone trying to do so while selling most popular titles for that device at a slight loss!
