Phosphor e-Ink watches available for about $200

Phosphor has a line of 9 watches whose faces are comprised of a curved e-Ink surface, starting from $175 depending on style and band type.
The look of the watches reminds me of the old Microsoft Spot watches (that were LCD based, and long discontinued), but unlike Spot there's no radio receiver and therefore no stock tips or news headlines being delivered.

The flip side is a more legible display, a far wider viewing angle and immensely better battery life.

I'm a bit of a watch snob, and the overall look of the watches is a "just miss" for me, although I'll be watching.

I'm not sure Seiko still sells the Spectrum, but while not as catchy a design, these watches would save you $1500 or so.
